We will be implementing inbound channel limits on calls to SIP Trunks based on their channel settings within the control panel.
In the past, we have not included inbound calls when counting channels.
As this is a behavior change, we wanted to let you know before this change is implemented so that you can double-check the channel limits before this goes live.
We are implementing this change to help PBXs manage large call volumes that can sometimes overwhelm the PBX or end-users due to surges in calls.
There are some cases where call limits do not come into play, such as calling the Emergency Services and how the PBX is configured.
